Tourist activities in Kemer > Water sports
Moonlight Beach is a tourist place in Kemer offering numerous water sport facilities, where tourists eager for adrenaline are able to exercise their skills in paragliding, water ski, para-sailing, canoe, jet ski or windsurf.
Also, many yacht owners around the world choose the Gulf of Kemer as a destination for their boats.
Among the interesting places to visit in Kemer are: the Archeological Museum in Kemer (numerous relics, hundreds of years old, are exposed here), Hadrian’s Gate or Hadrian Kapisi (a tribute in honor of Roman Emperor Hadrian), Iskele mosques, the ruins of Idryos or the Hidirlik Tower.
Kemer travel tips: Shop & Eat
Just like any other modern city in Turkey, shopping is almost a mandatory activity in Kemer. That’s why you should not miss the souvenir bazaar – a colorful variety of shops where youl will find everything from fruits, spices and sweets (I definitely recommend the famous turkish delight) to carpets, apparel and gold jewelries, with prices that can be easily negotiated.
Downtown, around the port, numerous cafes, bars and restaurants invite you to taste traditional foods and drinks. You can not leave a Turkish resort without tasting the traditional Döner Kebap, Şiş Kebap, Baklava, Kadayif, Haydari, various kinds of Çorba (soup), Raki (traditional drink) or Turkish coffee.
So, that’s it for now on the tourist attractions I marked on my Traveler’s Guide to Turkey.
