World’s Most Expensive Cruise Holiday
If money were no object, what would your dream cruise look like? Six Star Cruises have taken the initiative to fill this gap in the market, and released a package on Silversea Cruise vessel, Silver Whisper. Sources unanimously agree that this is the world’s most expensive cruise holiday. At $A1.5 million per couple in total, this works out at around $A12,000 per day. So exactly how much bang can you expect from your buck?
Itinerary
The cruise is a 124-day long journey, which visits some 28 countries. A pre-cruise, four-night stay is included at the Beverley Wilshire Hotel, in Beverley Hills. Departing from Los Angeles, the ship has ports of call including French Polynesia, New Zealand, Australia, the Maldives and Mauritius. The ship is smaller than many other cruise vessels, allowing it access to more exclusive, less crowded ports along the way. Following your arrival back on land, a post-cruise stay on Sunset Island, Miami (in a six bedroom villa, no less) eases you back into reality.
Transfers
All transfers are included in the price of the cruise. You have the option of being picked up in a helicopter from your home or hotel in London, and transferred to a London airport. Patrons are then flown to and from Los Angeles by a private chartered Boeing business jet. The plane is detailed with mahogany and gold-plated fixtures, and has the comfort of a bedroom and dining room, so you’ll arrive feeling fresh. On the ground, your transfers will take place exclusively in a Rolls Royce Phantm.
Wining and dining
To get you into holiday mode, you’ll dine on Beluga Caviar, and sip Da Hong Pao tea (harvested from thousand-year old plants) while you wait at the airport. Fine dining continues on your transfer flight, where a Michelin Star chef will create a 10-course tasting menu for you and your companion. Accompanied by Dom Perignon Rosi, the culinary bar is set high for the rest of your trip. On board restaurants are inspired by internationally renowned chefs including Relais and Chateaux, and Le Cordon Bleu. Fine wines and top shelf spirits accompany each course, and if you become bored with restaurants, the room service menu might satisfy that craving for something more home-cooked.
Accommodation
Designed to be a luxurious home-away-from-home, the Silver Whisper’s Royal Suite boasts two bedrooms, two bathrooms, private dining area, and two balconies. The smaller ultra-luxury vessel has a show lounge, casino, day spa, pool and gym, with sophisticated entertainment included as standard.
While most cruise patrons are looking for a significantly smaller price tag, cruise holidays are a great way to relax in style. With an exciting itinerary, accommodation, food and entertainment include as standard, there is a cruise for every budget. Read more about how you can book your own cruise holiday today!
